Yuuma Kunimi (国見 佑真, Kunimi Yūma) is one of the supporting characters of the Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai series. He is a member of the school's basketball team, a good friend of Sakuta Azusagawa and the boyfriend of Saki Kamisato.
Appearance[]
Yuuma is noted by other students to be a tall, handsome and attractive young man with short greenish-grey hair, the same eye color as his hair and a well-built frame.
Personality[]
Unlike Saki Kamisato (Yuuma's girlfriend), Yuuma is a charming and friendly person who cares for the well-being of others not for social gain but for good intentions as a friend as he is usually the one to approach social outcasts like Sakuta Azusagawa, containing his character as a nice individual.
Plot[]
So far, Yuuma appears to be unaffected by Adolescence Syndrome. Although it is not known where he lives, he does commute on the same train to school with Sakuta, and works at the same diner that Sakuta does, often at the same hours as Sakuta, as well as late-joining colleague Tomoe Koga.
Yuuma knows Yosuke Maezawa from the basketball team; he was the one who noticed that Maezawa was breaking up with his girlfriend over the phone, and informs Sakuta about it.
After graduating from Minegahara High, and at the start of the tenth novel, it is revealed that Yuuma began training to become a firefighter.

Sakuta Azusagawa[]
Having been friends since they were younger, Yuuma refers to Sakuta by his first name when speaking to him. He is one of the few people to not shun Sakuta after the incident with his sister, Kaede Azusagawa and is willing to disagree with his girlfriend when she tries to make him stop being friends with him.
Rio Futaba[]
Rio has a crush on Yuuma where she first started to develop feelings for him in their first year of high school when he gave her a bag of bread. She finally confessed her crush to Yuuma on August 19th, watching the fireworks in the summer festival. He was going to say he had a girlfriend, but Rio told him not to say anything because she knew he didn't reciprocate these feelings and that he had a girlfriend. However, the two still remained friends.
Saki Kamisato[]
Saki is Yuuma's girlfriend. As she cares about her reputation, she is rather protective of Yuuma, as shown when she told Sakuta Azusagawa to stop hanging out with him and when she removed Sakuta from Yuuma's contact list. This caused them to get into a fight, but they have since made up.
Etymology[]
- The name Yuuma means "help, assist" (佑) (yuu) and "real, genuine" (真) (ma).
- Yuuma's surname Kunimi means "country" (国) (kuni) and "see, hopes, chances, idea, opinion, look at, visible" (見) (mi).
Trivia[]
- Yūma Uchida (Yuuma's voice actor) is the younger brother of Maaya Uchida, who voices Nodoka Toyohama.
